An LLN representative participated in a study visit that took place in the FR Germany in the period from the 1st to the 10th of September. The study visit was organized by Friedrich Ebert Foundation-Skopje, dvv International Skopje, the National Centre for political education Baden-Württemberg, Educational Center Wiesneck and it was financially supported by the Baden-Württemberg Foundation from Germany, as part of the project “The citizen on first place.”
The topic of the study visit was “Focus on Europe: The EU integration of Macedonia as an assignment of the Adult education”. Among the participants there were representatives from several Worker’s Universities from R. of Macedonia, representatives of the labor unions, representatives of the Ministry for education and science of R. Macedonia, representatives of the youth branches of some of the political parties in R.M. and representatives from the NGO sector.
As part of this study visit, the participants had the opportunity to visit the EU Parliament and to understand the way it functions in more detail. A visit in the Council of Europe also took place where the participants had the opportunity to talk to a representative from the Republic of Macedonia in the Committee for protection of human rights within the Council. The last visited institution was the Workers University in Freiburg where the participants could make difference between the workers universities in Macedonia and in FR Germany several institutions during this study visit. The programme provided visits to several institutions including the European Parliament, The Council of Europe and also the Worker’s University in Freiburg. The participants had the opportunity to see how do this institutions work and to make a comparison between these and the Macedonian institutions.
