The “Braille Challenge” C3 Short-term joint staff training event was held in Skopje, Macedonia 09-13.05.2022
Main objective of the project “Braille challenge” is teaching the parents of visual impaired children, teachers, and non-formal educators from NGO sector the characteristics of visual impaired persons and methodology of learning Braille alphabet.
C3 Activity was LTTA for non-formal educators, getting to know visual impaired children, students, their needs and how to teach them Braille alphabet.
Each organizations provided youth workers, non formal educators from different cities in their country. The main goal of our LTTA was non formal educators to gain knowledge about the specific needs of visual impaired persons, how to improve their educational approaches in their work. We put special emphasis on education methodology of teaching Braille alphabet, that’s why in exceptional cost we asked for additional grants for buying Braille machines and paper, after the finishing of the project activities we will donate those machines to the pupils with visual impaired or the schools. Part of the LTTA was practical workshop using Braille machines and paper and organized visit of the special school for visual impaired children, students in Skopje.
